I’m Jonathan Pacheco. I run Doom Signals from Western North Carolina.

I needed a desk that watches major events as they happen — live official gauges and short, checkable notes — instead of waiting for the unknown and calling that a plan. Better to stay watchful than to get surprised.

This site is a weekly risk radar and a live monitor. The meters are official feeds fetched in the browser. I do not set a calendar date for a catastrophe, or write a headline the body cannot support. When a note is wrong, it goes on Corrections Archive in public.
