Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles late on Thursday, killing one person, the capital's military administration said, Reuters reports. The attack began just before 11 PM local time. Ukraine's National Police later said a man was killed in the Dniprovskyi district and a 35 year old woman was injured, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
Falling debris partly destroyed a single storey building and started a fire in Dniprovskyi, the State Emergency Service said. Warehouses burned in the Darnytskyi district east of the Dnipro, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said, and drone debris started a fire in Obolonskyi.
Overnight Russia fired ballistic missiles, four guided missiles and 113 drones, Ukraine's Air Force said, according to Euromaidan Press. Air defences downed three missiles and 96 drones, and strikes hit 17 locations, mainly in the Kyiv, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
