At least four Palestinians died in Gaza on Saturday, Al Jazeera reports, citing Anadolu and local hospitals. Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that teacher Diaa Abu al-Rous was killed when Israel shelled the Nuseirat refugee camp. WAFA, citing medical sources, says he was killed by a drone strike near the electricity company northwest of the camp.
Arafat al-Arair died at al-Shifa Hospital of wounds from an earlier Israeli strike on a vehicle in Tel al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City. Two girls, Habiba Zannoun and Aysal Abu Shaiban, died early Saturday of burns from a fire on Friday evening in a tent for displaced people in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, WAFA reports. Al Jazeera says it is not clear what caused the fire.
Gaza's Health Ministry said in its daily report that at least six people were killed and 26 injured over the past 48 hours, bringing the toll since the October 2025 ceasefire to 1,580 killed and 5,711 injured.
Why it matters
The ceasefire has not stopped the dying, and talks on the next phase of the peace plan have stalled, Al Jazeera reports.
